This is my concern. I doubt it's remotely accurate, but as an honest question: Would anyone truly be shocked if it turned out that Google and the U.S. Government did cooperate in some manner on intelligence gathering? It happened with the big phone companies (they circumvented FISA warrants and allowed warrantless culling of phone data). Or is that way too tinfoil-ish ish?
Well since GOOG is a private company and everyone that uses their programs agrees to the TOS whether they read it or not GOOG could theoretically sell whatever to whoever without even FISA supervision. No worries tho, they have that "don't be evil" thing.
