DJ Google CFO: Growth Slowing, And Now Largely Organic By Riva Richmond Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Google Inc. (GOOG) Chief Executive George Reyes said the Internet giant's growth is slowing due to the "law of large numbers." The company's 18-month effort to boost search monetization by tweaking the advertising system has realized most of the gains possible. Now growth is being driven mainly by organic factors, like query traffic growth, which he called substantial. "We're going to have to find other ways to monetize the business," Reyes said, speaking at a Merrill Lynch investor conference Tuesday. it's 9%, not 50 bucks. what company's stock wouldn't react that way when the CFO talks and they are in the spotlight as much as goog is?
