I bought some at the bounce off $455. To be specific, I bought 2 of the Jan 450 call. In at $17.30, out at $18.50. I feel like such a piker! Do any of you daytrade GOOG options? Do you go deeper ITM than the closest strike? Do you swing trade? The theta is scary at first, but if you divide it - and all GOOG's numbers - by 10 it doesn't seem as bad.
goog is selling off day after day, ever since reaching a little over 500 thats been it. Wonder where it will trade after earnings. GOOG under 400 in early 2007 is quite possible.
Ok. Since they are many here that feels that Google is going down, let's see who is right. This is your portfolio. http://www.stockalicious.com/stock_journal/216 This is my portfolio. http://www.stockalicious.com/stock_journal/217 I assume both of us bought 100 Google stocks today at market close. Let's see 2 months down the road, whether this stock will go below $430. If Google is going down as what you said, it should be below $430 2 months later. My guts tell me that it will go above $480 after 2 months But of course my guts is not always right
i dont think anyone here could predict what GOOG price 2 mths from now.. even wall st analysts can only make taget price estimates and even their estimates are wrong... some of us use technical analysis to spot trends which sometimes will continue over a period and then reverses..a trend reversal that u can also spot using tech analysis.. I also dont waste my time doing paper trade.. I trade with REAL money and I initiated SHORT position on GOOG since 12/15 and so far Im not liquidating my position until the trend reverses.. who knows what happens when market open on Tues 12/26.. or even 2 mths from now.. but if the trend reverses.. i already did make some money from that short.. but thats not even my best trade so far.. ive been doing short, long and short again on northwest air past few days (again based on trending) and u can check on ur chart how did that stock went.. happy trading.. cheers
True. But I usually take a longer point of view, around 3 months. Any shorter than that i usually treat it as noises. But of course i have a cut loss level to minimize my damage should my point of view is wrong. I didn't really buy that many stocks this year though. So i didn't really make much. My best so far was MNCS. Hopefully, Yahoo will make a reversal soon. It's killing me and will hit my cut loss level soon. Here's my progress this year http://www.stockalicious.com/stock_journal/82/top_10 Happy trading.
