Incredible how quiet GOOG is right now...

It'll probably be in a tight trading range for months now unless the market craters.

  2. I DONT understand!. Why does goog fall 11.88 on a GREAT earnings report, when Motorola also has a great earnings report and its up 1.35.

Good news should pull stocks up..why did this not happen with google?.

    Sorry for the noob question.

  5. How does options play into how a stock moves?..I know a little about options. basically you need to know when the stock will reach a certain price. If that price is reached, the trader has the option of purchasing the contracts or not.

Tell me if i'm wrong, but the options must have expired worthless, because otherwise, the traders would be buying those contracts, pushing the stock up.

Again, I know very little about options, please smooth out the rough edges.

nay. i doubt google is going higher anytime soon.

but it won't go down either.

it's just catching up with expectations.

i give it another 6 months before it resumes its uptrend.

Goog is going to get absolutely fried in the next few weeks. Short as much of it as you can.

Stick a fork in GOOG, won't see $400 for a long, long time...

Expenses are out of control in this company, and one day they will report in-line or miss earnings. And that day may come sometime later this year....
