  1. You are weird sir. Good luck with your trading - let us know in January how you did.

  2. Not weird. Just plain rude with low level of emotional intelligence and poor people skills.

  3. Name calling does not make a good trader. Children with little accounts must play games. Just take the other side and we'll compare results. Post your opposing trades using real money, not your paper money account. Put some skin in the game, talk is cheat and gets you nowhere.

  4. o_O

    Wait, wha..?

It appears you don't read many options threads here...or much about options at all.

But, attempting to wrangle the wayward discussion, what is in fact your exit strategy? Stop loss? Hold on for dear life? Smash and grab a few pennies?

And seriously, type "O'Hare spread" into Google. It's got a similar risk profile, but a much better return than an IC like yours.

  5. You are right... name calling does not make a good trader. Can I assume that good traders don't call names or try to belittle others? Or does a trader need to engage in name calling to become a good trader? Usually modesty is a desirable trait but then maybe it does not work for some. As I have found out over the last few decades, trading is mostly about psychological control and discipline. I have tried to teach myself to be disciplined but I still have a long way to go. On the way of learning, I did learn that anyone showing off is usually trying to compensate for some deep rooted insecurity. Not everyone, but like I said "usually".

As for taking the other side of a trade, the trader may have a different structure altogether... it depends upon their outlook. Just taking the opposite side of a bad trade does not make it automatically profitable. For example, if one runs short MA x-over long MS for long/short, it may show a loss. If he/she just inverts the trade, it will not necessarily show a profit. Everyone's risk profile and appetite for risk is different. Perhaps the members who were critical of your trade does not understand your risk profile and hence they don't agree with your position.

Good luck to you and if it makes you (or anyone else who feels the urge) feel better please go ahead and call me some names. You may say something that is true about me and I can work on getting that corrected.

  6. It appears a few naysayers resort to name calling to prove they know better. However, they refuse to trade against me or post an alternative to prove their point. Many have pm me for advise but frightened to post because of this small group attacks. It's a shame...

  8. No way i'm posting, you're just looking for something to criticize and attack. Maybe I will post after the fact. You can do your thing then...

This is just plain dumb. Selling tiny options 'works' 95- 99% of the time. They'd have to trade against you hundreds or thousands of times to create a data sample with probitive value.
