WHAT A CRAPPY DAY!!! I just had a slow day right from the get go. I made $112 and spent $120 making it. Whatever..... I had 22 buy fills, 24 sell fills, and 142,460 shares traded. Tomorrow will be a better day!
Well boys and girls, I can trade more stocks. CSCO, INTC, MSFT, ORCL, and SUNW, have been added to my basket! YAY! This is great! Rebates on all ecn's! And on the 1st of April our commissions are being cut in half!!!! That's right! Cut by 50%!!!! Good times, good times! Good Trading!
What a crappy day to trade..... I made $178 and spent about $160 making it. Geez....... I had 24 buy executions, 35 sell executions, and 90,600 shares traded. Tomorrow will be a better day!
I believe he means that he netted the difference, $18. GoodPunk, when you have mutiple blocks constituting partial fills of a single order, are each of the partial fills charged as a seperate execution? If that is the case, how many actual roundtrip trades did you make today (or in the average day)?
Yes, each fill is considered an execution. As far as trades (in and out) go, it really depends. On slow days like today I might be in -10-15 different positions (that number is completely off the top of my head).
Good morning! Well, I'll be getting my feet wet in some INTC today. For starters I'll be going in with 500 shares a pop to start off so I won't lose my ass if I make a bad decision. Does anybody else trade INTC, ORCL, CSCO, or MSFT? Any pointers? Good Trading!
Had it handed to me..... I lost $75 and spent $70 making it. Total crap...... I had 12 buy executions, 13 sell executions, and 86,600 shares traded.
Can I ask a question... Why do you increase size when you are not yet consistently profitable? It seems to be very strange thing to do to me at least. Excellent journal by the way tho! Keep up work on your trading. Time will give wisdom and you will learn. ORM
