  1. Wow! Talk about one hell of a day!!!

This morning I said that I was overdue for a big loss. Well, at 10:44am this morning, I was down $212.20. NEGATIVE! MINUS! DOWN THE TUBE! Those of you who have gotten to know me by following my journal know that I ALWAYS beat myself up when I take a big loss. Well, at that time, I got up, smoked a cigarette (I don't smoke), and just beat myself up. You know, the usual,....."I suck. I shouldn't trade. I'm terrible. blah, blah, blah....."

I got back into it a little after 2pm. I took a profitable flat and never looked back. First, I got short 3.15 with 2,200 shares and made a penny. Then I got short again at 3.14 with 2,400 shares and made a penny. Next, I got short 12,700 shares at 3.13 and covered it at 3.11. I basically covered my entire loss!!

I didn't get the chance to get Net positive, but after a day like today, I was happy to be gross positive. I made $88 and spent about $180 making it. I didn't make anything today, but I sure as hell prevented one hell of a loss!

I have 30 buy executions, 29 sell executions, and traded 179,000 shares.

Tomorrow will definetly be a better day!

  2. Hey guys!

Good morning to everyone! It seems to me that after a day like yesterday, I'm going to have a better day. That goes without saying that I wasn't trading to the best of my ability yesterday. I took losses on trades that would have worked out if I hadn't freaked. LU was in definite downtrend but I let myself get burned on shorts. I took a loss on a long, but I should have known better than to get long. I ignored the trend and surprise surprise! I got owned! My disregard for being patient cost me one hell of a ride. In the future, I will exercise more discipline.

    Good Trading!

  3. Hey guys,

I could have had a much better day. I made $203.50 and spent about $100 making it. NT was just DEAD this afternoon. I didn't like the way LU was trading so I decided to stay away. Whatever....

I have 15 buy executions, 18 sell executions, and traded 90,800 shares.

By the way, I only lost $40 yesterday!

Tomorrow will be a better day!

  5. Are you limited in the amount of $ you can spend on a single trade?

    #165     Jan 20, 2005

  6. No, I'm not limited to the amount of money I can spend on a trade. Although I am limited to the amount of shares I can trade, per trade. Currently I can go in with 5000 shares a trade.

  7. Good Morning!

I didn't sleep enough last night. I went to sleep at about 11:30pm and woke up at 7am. I normally sleep 8 hours and I'm the type of person that doesn't function right if I sleep less than that. I'll be fine once the market opens.

    Good trading!

  8. Hey guys!

Not a great day. I was up $240 at one point, and then I took a $150 loss. So at the end of the day I ended up $88 and spent about $100 making it. I got some credits from BRUT and INET so hopefully I broke even. Whatever....

    Have a good weekend guys!

  9. I guess I'm baffled by the amount of money it costs you to make a profit....

you do have a flat fee right?

    #169     Jan 22, 2005
