  2. I didn't put up any money. I was hired to trade the firm's capital. In return I get a big percentage of my profits. For the first month and a half (before I started this journal) I lost money......about $1000. Since then, I'm not up by much. Especially since I got paid for December. Let's just say that I haven't made my first thousand.

  3. sounds like a reasonable dea, but were you hired without experience. What was used to present in terms of getting a job?

Had a bad commute getting here. I got here after the market opened. Luckily I'm up right now. I'll post my thoughts at the end of the day.

  5. Yes, I was hired without experience. The firm was having an open house and I decided to attend. I left my resume that night and I got in touch with the manager here. I used to be a stockbroker so they knew that I had exposure to the field. I love the stock market, it's where my heart is, and they picked up on that. So I was hired.

Well, I had a good day! I made $310 and spent about $80 making it. I noticed that today I was very patient. I was picking up on all the buy and sell signals, waiting for my setups, and concentrating on what I did right after every trade. Perhaps I'm becoming more disciplined? Perhaps it was just luck. Either way, I don't want to think that I'm making progress or that I'm getting better. I don't want to feel overconfident. It seems as though I'm due for a big loss and that worries me. I just need to repeat what I did today everyday.

I had 11 buy executions, 14 sell executions, and traded 72,000 shares.

    Have a nice long weekend!!!

  6. Hey guys!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I enjoyed the long weekend by relaxing and spending most of my time being warm indoors. As most of you know, the northeast has been slammed with a serious cold front. So I avoided going out as much as I could.

Well, I feel good this morning. I don't really feel concentrated, but I think that will change once the market opens.

    Good Trading!

  9. Wow....what a day.....I guess.

Well, I had a good day. I made $181 and spent $20 making it. I know it doesn't sound bad, but, my last trade was at 11am. After that, I couldn't get filled for my life. My first trade was a long for 3 cents with 5000 shares. Then I made a penny on 3100 shares. That was it! I couldn't get filled after that. I can't really say that I was being aggressive, but I can say that I was patient.

I was bent on trading NT all day. I should have been trading LU because that stock was all over the place today. Check this chart out - http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=LU&t=1d I should have realized that NT wasn't in play in the afternoon and I should have started trading LU. Tomorrow will be a better day.

I had 3 buy executions, 5 sell executions, and traded 21,400 shares.

  10. Hey guys!

I'm well rested, motivated, and I feel good. But I have to admit, lately I've been doing okay and I'm begginning to fear that I'm overdue for a big loss. Perhaps I'm just messing with my mind. But maybe I'm not. Either way, if I'm due for a loss, then I might as well take it and get it over with. I'm never gonna learn unless I make mistakes right?

    Good trading!
