Heard this one on Siri/Xm this morning in traffic. I forgot how good this album was. "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" was huge (still is really)... the whole album was incredible. All 7 songs. But this one... the last one on the album.... is arguably the best imo. In a snobbish way. That operatic voice of his... I remember seeing him in an interview back in the day on MTV (when MTV was actually worth watching). Meat Loaf said the hardest thing in his life to overcome was being teased as a kid and then later rejected early on in his career because he was fat and nobody took him serious. He said he was treated like a "circus clown". Clive Davis at CBS Records (a Harvard Law grad and music kingpin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Davis ) wouldn't sign him because he said "he was clueless about music and had no talent". Ha. Fucked that one up didn't ya Clive. The album "Bat Out Of Hell".... remains the #6 top selling of all time. So this one... ya gotta play it loud or you'll miss it. 11 That voice... its all that voice. Starts out slow. .. 0:00-3:17 Just voice and piano. 3:20 ... bring in the string section. 4:35.... ok f it, bring in the whole damn orchestra and lets go. 4:45-6:00...wtf... incredible 6:00-8:45... soft finish Bravo.
