good ol days of corn and grains

  1. Hello,

There were some good times last spring where corn and a few other grains had several ten point moves per week (around 2,000 per contract per week intraday), now the range for both soybeans and corn is quite low.

When will the days of very powerful intraday moves in corn and soybeans, return?

    Thanks

I think it will be a long time. There will be some action at the end of this week with the Nov 8 USDA report (Oct was skipped), but we have large crops and we're entering a period which historically is very quiet.

Barring demand shocks, or South American weather scares, the grain markets could be near comatose until early Spring. Quite a change from the last couple of years.
