    Hi guys,

I quit my job, as a model, 8 months ago to study the markets. I have been working as hard as I can since then but can't find anything with a positive expectancy. Is it possible to create a system that wins 60% of the time and has winners 3 times as large as losers?

I hear about old methods that stand the test of time. What are these?

    Thanks for your help guys.

I too am a new trader. But I am neither cute nor a girl.

I too recently joined ET. And I too posted a question very similar to yours.

So far, I have been COMPLETELY ignored.

I hope you have better luck than I. Perhaps including a photo of yourself from your former career would help get some attention. Clearly, asking for help alone doesn't do the trick.

  3. It works better if you list your hobbies as "trading and sex." And this time, get the picture ready beforehand. And don't get it from some lame porn site, at least go to a personals site and find a picture of a real person.

  4. Yes you can find a system that trades with a 60% consistency. If you want to know how pm me with a pic and I will show you my good's.

Nope it's extremely unlikely you will ever find a system that has a 60% win rate and an average win which is 3 times bigger than the average loss. There tends to be a trade off which takes place, the higher your winning percentage then the smaller your average win will be in relation to your average loss.

If you want your wins to be 3 times bigger than your losses then you will almost certainly have to get used to having a win rate of maybe 40% or even less. This will mean coping with long runs of loosing trades, but do you want to be right or do you want to make money?

Don't waste your time looking for the holy grail on this site or any other site for that matter, the grail is already inside you, most people will never realize this though, good luck.:)

    Look guys and gals,

Sure it's possible for you to be profitable 60% of the time. And sure you could have winners 3 times larger than your losers. But first you have to figure out what your going to trade and how your going trade it. Nobody on this message board is going to teach you how to trade. Even if someone did try and teach how to do it would just start another riot like the one we had when super_ego started telling his method.

Bottom line, just keep trying. You will find something that works for you. Or you will run out of money. Either way, your still a trader.

    Good luck.

  7. Anchor you are right and I have a method that does 70% wins and at least 3 to 1 winning profit to loosing. But I don't have the discipline to follow my system. So if you did find my system you might not be able to follow it. That is what makes trading so difficult.

  8. As far as good methods go, one method that is certainly not good is pretending to be a girl in order to annoy other traders.

You quit your career as a model to become a trader....yeah...and before I started doing this I was a rock star with a big record label....GET A HOBBY!!!

    I read the "Super_Ego" saga.

Yes, he was arrogant and unpleasant. But at least he was trying to share meaningful details of a trading system.

You may have thought his methods were great, or you may have thought they were trash. But at least he SHARED - or tried to.

Of COURSE there is no Holy Grail or guaranteed system. No one is asking for that. But this forum would be so much more useful if more of the supposedly successful traders would share the details of their systems with the rest of us. At least we rookies would then have a starting point - something tangible that has at least worked for someone.

"It's already in you" and "Keep trying until you lose all your money" may be profound, but hardly what I would call helpful advice.

  10. I didn't really want to get involved with a younger woman,
    but curiosity got me.

What are these "old methods..." you are referring to?
    Can you elaborate?

    Maybe I/we can learn something.
