90 mph... omg. Knew you recently did the roof and was aware of your generator so was hoping you and your family were safe and reasonably comfortable. Preparations paid off! My neighbor's mango tree sheared off about half-way up (already rotten maybe?) and ended up in my pool. It had to be jack-strapped out. There were a couple of local tornados that tore up some buildings. I lost power for maybe an hour but it was just wind and almost no rain. Really not a hurricane here (Treasure Coast) just tropical conditions. Everyone trimmed their trees back before the storm and the city picked up the trimmings every day. Amazing how a state with no income tax can run efficiently like that. I need a chainsaw lol.
Inland was actually worse during this storm. It turned inland and went up the center and across - we got it worse than Tampa proper!
Yeah, a chainsaw comes in handy during these times - and I didn't have one. I didn't need one either, so there's that. I had my 14 y/o son raking and picking up debris which I then threw in the back of my wife's Titan and dumped behind the neighborhood in the woods. About 10 truck fulls!
So Florida is the leader in the U.S. in both per-capita and raw Covid deaths for many months now. Which killed more people in Florida in recent days? Covid or Hurricane Ian? Oh, based on current information Covid has killed 5X more people than the hurricane in recent days. Yet DeSantis ignores Covid. Fine job there Governor DeSantis , obviously from both your Covid and Hurricane Ian response you don't give a crap about the residents of Florida. Your sole activity is posing for publicity shots while pushing your twisted narrative. Tell us again how the media was rooting for the hurricane to hit Tampa. Florida records 22,592 new COVID-19 cases, 522 deaths in 2 weeks https://www.orlandosentinel.com/cor...0221007-nz767zeb3bb3dg76pibq67obzy-story.html
