TopStepTrader has a good educational program and chat room (Click on Squawk radio). Daytradingradio has some futures traders and they are developing tools more for ES traders. TDAmeritrade's Thinkorswom (TOS) has chat rooms and a lot of tools for futures traders too.
Thanks everyone. I've narrowed my first try to the following two rooms. Anyone got any opinions? Market Dancer http://marketdancer.com/ EVT http://eminivolumetrader.com/
Aside from then name market dancer comes across as a street smart outfit, be sure to let us know how you find it if you try
Stay away from Market Dancer. They report $800,000 in profits trading YM without including a disclaimer, at least not on that page, or the other pages I looked at. I couldn't find anywhere which states they're registered with the NFA as a CTA. This indicates they don't have a clue.
Hi Dratsum, I couldn't find where they reported $800k in profits. Can you direct me to that point? So far both Market Dancer and EVT still look good. The $2/hr trial for Market Dancer looks tempting. Please let me know.
Hover your mouse over the word ABOUT in the top menu. Don't click on it. Wait until it opens up and then click on YM Trades. If you scroll down to the bottom, it shows $800,000 total profit over a very short time, aproximately 13 months.
ok I didn't know that, I only skimmed over their site after it was mentioned here, in the one video the guy I think named Alex seemed to know what he was talking about. Wonder why they had to change their name ? It was said to me never to look outward to make own advances in trading. Even though it is a road less traveled it seems to be the only sure way to getting it. When I say getting it, I mean seeing price patterns forming in real time and knowing which news or announcements will support your pattern work to work. This is then known as a HP trade, I've found patterns without news to back a direction can have false breaks causing an initial loss then a false break the other side causing another loss ending in frustration, so try to understand news and even more on inter-market analysis and market correlations. This field we call trading only gets deeper with more understanding, leaves you with a feeling of bewilderment at times. IE: the more I learn the less I know.
