What happened is I was noticing that I could barely swing 85 mph until I made the change. I suspect that that was what I was doing early in the year and probably every year.
I am getting great consistency today in implementing the correction from yesterday. --Consistent 104 and 105 mph driver swing speed and really good direction. ---I've always been decent from 120 in, so this move is extremely helpful---41 on the front nine.----Exciting---
I like to hit 'em at the range on occasion but that's about it. We've got one of those three-story $18 million TopGolf ranges here in Orlando and it's a blast to do with friends.
Looks like a fun place. Naperville is less than an hour away. Might have to get a couple golf buddies and go there.
Of course he doesn't. . Golf is a selfish game. Sure its great if you're retired, or you're in your 30's and you just go out and duff it around a handful of times per season with your friends... but an obsession with golf for a man with a family is a sure sign of a loser in the "things that really matter" department. I started playing golf at about age friggin 7. I still have my first putter, its an H&B blade and the only one I have ever used. Never needed to change it. I haven't played in at least 15 years, but I can say this with complete certainty.... I have been around golf and golfers for a large part of my adult life. They're all hacks. Aside from probably a club level pro... there's not many that could even come close to my game. I'm not bragging, its all muscle memory learned at a very young age. Not lessons, not anything. Natural swing cultivated as a child. Good eyesight too I think. That's very important. Especially on the green. Point is... you're obsessed with golf like you're obsessed with trading. Nothing wrong with that I guess, especially if you're an OG. But golf has certain siren song quality to it that I have observed from an almost aloof perch over the years. Certain types of personalities fall into the trap. They become obsessed with trying to be better than the next swinging dick who could very well be their best friend or their office peers. They devour hours upon hours of their time, and spend whatever it takes on the latest and greatest equipment... all in pursuit of something that they'll never obtain. If you enjoy the fresh air and exercise that's one thing, but if you're obsessed with getting better... you're not going to. I guess there's nothing wrong with trying though. If you don't have a family that is. So I'll close as I opened.... Golf is a selfish sport. I don't know Baron.... but I know people. ...Of course Baron doesn't f'ing play golf.
I'll be working this morning on the range for a bit. I need to shallow the club better which I think will result in smoother swing and more flush contact. ---18 later today---
