Goldman to make record bonus payout

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by ASusilovic, Jun 22, 2009.

  1. They didn't trade worth a shit. It's all govt. funds funneled to GS via AIG.

All the TARP money that went to goose up the energy markets also helps their bottom line.

Lets not kid ourselves, they are not gods, they are long this shit and about to feel the pain. I want to get long with them, but if they and the fed can't control inflation, they cant control this market.

  5. 1) Do you know anybody in the U.S. Department of Justice / Anti-Trust Division?
    2) If this years lows get taken out, GS will become the subject of break up news. We'll see.

  7. Are you retarded? Fed can't control inflation?

The fed can do whatever they want with the money supply.

Good for them. How about a bitch session on the bitches in Congress who increased their office budgets another 8% for this coming year! Roughly $1.5 mil. per office, as well as giving themselves raises and handing out bonuses last year to their staff. Hey, those staffers had to work hard they deserved it. Funny how that's a good enough story for Congress, but god forbid anyone else use that as an excuse for bonuses. Wait Congress has done such a good job of budgeting and managing the peoples business, oh wait NO! They have screwed up the country more and more by the day, and create and establish their own little kingdoms with us as their servants oferring our salaries and profits to appease these fat pigs. Why the f*** aren'tt more people in this country pissing on these dirtballs and making as much of a stink as they do about those running companies?

  9. Organized crime has evolved to become institutionalized crime. Why risk jail when you can ...walk between the raindrops. Yea, Freedom is a wonderful thing when you really know how to use it.

IMO if true this would significantly reduce their long-term earning power, because it would shift the US political and social mood further to the left. They should in this scenario retain the funds in the company, pay more modest bonuses, then reward everyone 3 or 4 years down the line after a bull market has occurred and the public is not so bitter.

If this played out as reported, it would be a blunder of epic proportions.
