Goldman Sachs upgrades WaMu to neutral

  1. LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Goldman Sachs upgraded Washington Mutual to neutral from sell, saying the lender's capital is absorbing pain. "The message WaMu's pre-announcement seems to send is that things are worse than expectations in the third quarter, but not dramatically so. Credit is terrible but is showing some signs of decelerating," the broker said.


    Maybe this can help ease the intense selling the stock has taken this week?
