As a parent who's spent the last four weeks obsessing about the H1N1 vaccine, and then spent two days in lines at a local clinic... That shit pisses me off. That's unfuckingbelievable.
Looks like no one cares, if they did you would see people protesting and yelling in front of these firms, until then its going to be what its going to be.
have you check the list of ingredients? are you going to take single-dose or multi-dose? Ingredients include: Inactivated A/California/7/2009(H1N1)v-like virus propagated in embryonated chicken eggs Single-dose vials are mercury-free Multi-dose vials contain 24.5 mcg of mercury per 0.5 ml dose http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/11/05/Swine-Flu-Vaccine-Ingredients.aspx
True but if your pregnant or small child or combo of both can you imagine a family getting it. My Sister-in law is getting the vaccine she is pregnant with twins, and has a 2 year old. And she is a pharmaceutical sales rep so she goes to Doctor's offices all the time. All high risk. P.S. It just shows again it pays to have Golden Slacks. Disgusting.
Yes, I've checked the list of ingredients. I've also read the peer-reviewed research on thimerosal conducted over the last two decades. My wife is also 6 months away from being a licensed medical doctor. I have zero concerns. Well, more accurately, 0.0001% concern. I know the odds are far greater that my children will be killed by H1N1-induced encephalitis (or a drunk driver on the way to the flu clinic), than the odds of them developing any of the potential side-effects. It's a no-brainer. PS. As it happens, we got the single dose pediatric version from Sanofi Pasteur. I wouldn't have blinked if it was the multi-dose.
Um....I hate to be the one to point this out, but if the children are already dying in the hospital, it's too late for the vaccine. Leave it to Huffpo to say such an idiotic thing. This, folks, is what happens when the government gets to decide who gets the vaccine. Kids, who are in a higher risk group, have no way of acquiring vaccine other than through our political overlords.
Not to defend the Huffpo... but just wanted to point out there are many, many children in hospitals very sick from diseases other than H1N1. And they're certainly at very high risk, from H1N1. In the clinic line with me was a mom with a 5 year old son with a major heart defect, and who's pediatrician couldn't get him the H1N1 vaccine. He told them to get in the 4 hour line with the rest of us.
