The election is an attempt to try out strategy and see if it works. Including the strategy to target 30 swing districts held by Republicans in 2018 with big money and see if they can be moved to Democrats -- driving a flip in the House. Safe Democratic districts and strong Republican districts would be starved of national Democratic money.
Georgia special election: 7 things to watch Voter turnout is expected to be sky-high, and both parties are watching for clues about how to fight the 2018 elections. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/20/georgia-special-election-7-things-to-watch-239736
Ossoff loses, LOL, "Resistance is futile" Tough year for the dems. Love the spin on MSNBC, yeah we lost again even though we dumped everything we had into it, but it was "close" this time.
HAHAHAHAHA nights like these are where its fun to watch MSNBC, earlier tonight on lawrence Odonnell they trot out some guy to say: "Well yeah they won the last election by 9 points, but this time they only won by 2 points, so clearly the tide is turning in our favour" Now it turns out Handel is going to win by 6 points, so with all the dems spending, and a totally focused effort they managed to shave 3 points off the loss from last time. Only in the world of a liberal could losing by 6 points instead of 9 be turned into a victory, hopefully someone gives Ossoff a participation trophy.
All the polls had dems winning until yesterday, I dont think ive seen this story before... hmmmmmm what does it remind you of. I wonder at what point the left opens their fucking eyes and realises that their ideas are just deeply unpopular instead of making excuses for loss after loss after loss where they convince themselves thats what the voters really want.
Democrat Organizer: Potential Ossoff Voters Are Hard to Reach Because They Still Live at Home With Parents Carter Jun 20th, 2017 6:29 pm 90 Comments A Democrat precinct captain working for Jon Ossoff’s congressional campaign opined recently that a lot of constituents are “hard to reach” because they still live at home with their parents. Jessica Ziegler whined to Slate that Republican parents were angry at the deliberate targeting of their children as political weapons for Ossoff: Last month Jessica Zeigler, a precinct captain for Jon Ossoff’s congressional campaign, realized that reaching millennial voters was almost impossible. Young voters are often registered at their parents’ address, and many of those parents are enraged when Democratic canvassers show up at their door. “[The Republican parents] were the angriest people . . . When you are targeting their child, or heaven forbid their child might not think the same way as them, it becomes ugly.” Based on these comments, it appears Ziegler is all about dividing families for petty political reasons. Take a look at Ossoff’s campaign and you can easily tell it’s a smokescreen created to simply piss off President Trump. It’s more petty “muh #Resist”-ing. The Georgia special congressional election is a notable and important one in that folks on both sides of the aisle “view it as a litmus test for how the electorate will respond to the first months of the Trump presidency”, The Daily Caller’s Jack Crowe states.
