Hi again ES Sorry to waste your time on this one. What is your opinion on using trend-line-break (TLB) on the DEMARK indicator plus level filters on CR channels to time entries on the H4 chart. see attached image.
rjb, ANYTHING you post does not waste my time... Seems like an alternative way to use the DeMarker, but I have seen the Demarker move during low volume, that may trigger a false entry... The DeMarker really is not a momentum indicator to be used that way...But interesting chart you posted...It seems that CurviDeviants think outside of the box and do not use anything it was intended to be used for...I suggest you turn yourself "in" to the authorities.. Michael B. P.S. interesting blue and red dots there...and the percent close inside channel and inner channel width......just awesome stuff rj...can I have that stuff?...sorry, I am always leaching off your work, but it is good stuff that I need...If I were to get involved with you and fifo and learn MT4 coding, you would not be my friends. you see I have a problem, that I do not want to discuss...just believe me. Let's just say I can go off the deep end and get very manic in my personality...ok? It's better that I narrow the beam to trading and leave these programming details up to the specialists.
Thanks for the feedback ES. I will put the tools into a zip file and upload it soon. The red and blue dots on the chart are generated by a indicator which plots S+R levels. I use them to calc risk/reward and to approximate my stop levels. Cheers.
Do a search using the terms "Swap, Rollover, or IRD (Interest Rate Differencial)" on this website to understand it more. ES- I understand it's not good to promote any link here. In fact I don't recommend that link I posted. The only reason I posted that link was Fifo asked for any good MT4 broker and that is near impossible to find (If it is possible). Personally I don't think that any good broker would offer MT4 as a trading platform but that one I named is the only one I haven't heard bad things about... Yet. One other thing Fifo. If you are trading in the retail sector (not using a Prime Broker) then you need to be VERY careful in whom you deal with. A good sign of a bad broker is one that charges 2-3 times the premium that they pay out on daily rollover (9 out of 10 "retail brokers" rip the trader off on IRD so be careful). If you can trade via curennex using a prime broker that would be the best option but if not just pick wisely. Good luck everyone!
mm, I find it very hard to share without sharing links..it is a constant problem and quite an impediment. You may notice that I am a trader first and a moderator second...and I understood that you are not a promoter, thus my silence. (a moderator to me is simply searching for spam and "conduct rule" violations, not a judge and a jury) I simply post at certain key times with a "preempting" so to say...this technique that I use, avoids embarassment from fellow traders later, when I must do my job and be a moderator, more than a trader. Generally, this is a good bunch we have here in ET and very few problems, currently. Michael B.
Goody...Goody.. Can we name this RJB's CurviIndicator set? Package it and we will use it...After you complete this, we will get a fund together, to bail you out...(I suggested earlier in a late edit that you should turn yourself in to the authorities as a CurviDeviant ) Michael B. P.S. Live update of MT4 hit me today...but I did not see any changes...we need to tell the Russian MT4 developers, to add an indictor scaling check box...it is really, really needed...(also when they do their live updates, I wish they would tell us WHAT they changed/added) P.P.S. If any MT4 people are reading that matter...may I invite you to become a sponsor in ET? You could post your live update info under announcements here...Make ET your OWN forum, as you have a lot of users here... walterjennings, I have attempted to isolate things. It is not exactly as you suggested, but a start. As far as your other ideas, I simply do not know if it's possible. I do know that some other forums get into that business of publishing methods and such...ET has stayed away from these things from the beginning and they are doing something right. Free domain systems eventually get enough airtime and some say that eventually the systems will stop working because of that. Then what would ET do? Many still are not convinced that this method even works. rjb1024, Have you ever worked with the Ergodic indicator? I suspect you go to a Forum of MT4 users that may have posted the download for it. As highlighted in Bill Blau's book Momentum, Direction and Divergence, the Ergodic Oscillator is a double smoothed True Strength Index with a signal line. A trader here works with divergence named, romik...this is a thread in ET about the Ergodic, from other traders: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=69702 I believe that price and momentum is important as this method of regression fundementally works with price+momentum and as a technical trader/analyst I understand that the fundemental marriage fits. When you get a chance, can you take a look at it, and how would you apply it in CurviDeviance. . rjb..a guy like you could actually combine it with some ideas that you may have and that I might contribute to make YOUR OWN INDICATOR, NAMED THE RJB OSCILLATOR. (did you see fifo's work with the Vigin Arch indicator?)..by the way when you complete your work, I can help you write your book The reason I ask...it is loose enough for our race car, to use as an optional tool in this method, if we can master it. It could be a part of your Indicator Set that you are working on. (Actually my experience tells me that this could be rather exciting...I would get all giddy' again...) I need your indicator set for the intro.... Michael B. fifo, Did you package the VirginIndicator for MT4 yet? (did the drop of one bar and the addition of a new bar affect its historical accuracy?) Would the visual of the distance of the indicator from the midline/zeroline be significant...? is the depth of the wave length from the zero-line indicitive of anything to come? (fifo you are onto some grail material there, I believe) I need the download for the intro... Michael B.
