You just don't get it do you Sumo. We are about as close to an end in the Gold bull run as you are from realising why
Thank you for a good chuckle (and a damn good insult)! I have to agree with you. Gold has a track record as money going back some 6000 years. And if it's a barbaric relic, why are China, Russia, M.E. (etc...) countries starting to stockpile gold reserves? It IS money and I own plenty, but I think I need to diversify now.
Adwebster, Nothing goes straight up. Round figures are ominous. You are quite insulting. Sounds like you have alot of anger. Its really unpleasant posting with people who have unresolved issues.
Get a grip Sumo. Try reading an expert Elliott Wave analyst's (Alf Field)assessment of the Gold market at http://www.321gold.com/editorials/field/field011008.html and http://news.goldseek.com/AlfField/1199973835.php This anger you think I have is simply frustration at people who have no understanding of a market and continually try to call tops with nothing but a 'feeling' to back it up. Isn't it about your 4th or 5th call for the 'top' of the gold bull in the last 2 or 3 weeks? You've clearly got a bearish bias towards gold which means you are not capable of being objective in your assessment of it or your so called use of EW in your analysis of it. Have the courage to read the article and you'll see just how uninformed your constant calls for a top sound.
These are gold bugs. It could rain gold tomorrow and they'll still say gold is going to $2000. I think shorting at $900 has a good R:R ratio. Short term short though (not that I'm shorting)
Adwebster, I source my ew calls from the master, Pretcher et. al. Gold is in the process of completing an extended wave 5. I also have Gann sources that correlate. In the end, if a person is disrespectful, why bother? And no, this is not my 4 to 5 th call for a top. I have traded gold for over 20 years and was a bull for most of that time. What I have learned, is it is the math that matters. Fundamentals are lagging indicators, and open to interpretation. To quote Jim Rogers: I sell when everyone is buying and buy when everyone is selling. There is a thin line between a trend follower and a contrarian.
I watch Friday closes since it kinda says who's willing to hold it over the weekend.... someday gold will trade 24/7/365 on a decent exchange......
