Matt ,its not something you marry,you trade it.Wheather it be stocks,options,futures or the physical metal, there is alot of money to be made in this sector.
This quote from several years ago shows that the move in metals wasn't unanticipated by some here. I would bet that guy is still long gold, since nothing has changed to cause the current trend to reverse.
