Gold/Silver Spread for Dummies

  1. There is no low risk way to start. Secondly risk and measures of risk is very subjective and each individual may look at things very differently. With regard to spreads - besides what you mentioned about the risk of margin - depending on what spreads you trade - at times, the outrights can move in opposite directions of each other - thereby being much risker than a non-spread trade

  2. I myself am not a spread trader, but it can be a very profitable strategy. As long as you trade a conservative amount of contracts relative to the size of your account. You will do just fine.

  4. it only will work if you can "leg in" at favorable levels

    and if the "big money" does not have "big order flow"
    coming in against you
