Gold contracts, European hours

  1. Hi,

Which gold futures contract has least spread during European trading hours?

For the US hours I trade Nymex GC. But this doesn't seem to accept stop orders outside regular hours. Still it has a 1 tick spread also during European market hours, while the NyseLiffe 100oz and mini has a 5 - 7 tick spread. For the strategies I want to trade that is really a huge disadvantage.

    Did I miss something here..?

  2. Stick with the NYMEX contract. I believe the NYSE/LIFFE contracts are the "old" CBOT contracts.

  3. Problem is lack of stop orders.. It hurts my profits not to have them. And on news events it can be really bad. And very tiresome, I have to baby-watch the position every second. I thought there must be a comparable spread contract trading in European hours, that has stop loss orders. Is there not? Which is the best option?
