The gist of the article is that many of the largest stocks, the ones that move the market, are pinned around strike prices and manipulated there by institutions and hedge funds. I'm sure he's right, as options volume increases every year, and options are taking on an ever increasing role in market behavior (just as program trading is). You really can't play a large cap stock during options week without at least being aware of this phenomenon. Cramer gives 20 or so examples.
