Religion is like a train wreck.
Take the bible for example, meant to be a guide book on how to live an upright life, an example for others to follow.
Now who would you think should be most entrusted to set this example?
Well, the adults and especially the community leaders.
Who would be these adult community leaders?
    Church leaders, politicians, lawyers, bankers.

And what result do we see?
Although led by God, steeped in the teachings of the bible, many are as corrupt as fuck, or if not themselves, turn a blind eye to it receiving under the table paybacks.

Sure is meant to be, but isn't really ...
The Bible is full of mixed messages, repetition, bad fact checking, awkward constructions. It has an inconsistent voice, weak character development, boring tangents, contradictions, passages where nobody can tell what the phuk the writer meant to convey, assertions open to any number of entirely differing translations. It's not a book that would have been created by any kind of a deity worth its salt.

Unlike the Bible, a well-written supposed nonfictional book should be clear and concise, with accurate factual statements whose characters are neither two-dimensional nor plagued with multiple personality disorders.

Comparing Mein Kampf to the Bible. One of those books actively, explicitly, and unambiguously endorses murder, slavery, rape, child abuse, animal abuse, arson, torture, ritual mutilation, fratricide, patricide, matricide, infanticide, genocide and racism.

The other was written by a guy with a very creepy mustache.

WELL as you noted on Genesis, ''hard to believe.....'' Sometimes.
King Solomon was the most wealthy, most wise, more so than any of Bill Gates, paul Tudor Jones, IBD Founder, Rich Dennis. They maybe earned more co0mbined .\
BUt combined, they may have out earned min in US dollars, he was into silver, gold, brass live stock/ metals, tradeships........LOL
IN all hard work[labor] there is profit. Proverbs 14.23[ NET + KJV Bible version]-King Solomon.
I dont worry about the 5% +/ that is dont feel like it was profit:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:

Who ever said the Bible was meant to be a guide book on how to live life? It's just a collection of stories written by humans, read by humans, who interpret it to be that, perhaps.

Is Revelations by John a guide on how to live life? The whole thing is BS.

You get better advice on how to live life from the Discovery channel and it's website.

Confucius say… even a turtle only makes progress when it sticks its neck out.

What part of Genesis did you find believable? Change the first sentence from "In the beginning" to "Once upon a time"

King Solomon had 700 wife's and 300 concubines. Now explain to me again how wise he was? Hell explain to me when he had time to be wise?

A well-known scientist gave a public lecture on astronomy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: "What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise."
The scientist asked her "What is the tortoise supported on?"
"You're being very clever, young man, very clever," said the old lady. "but it's supported on... ...turtles all the way down"[IMG]

%%% LOL Maybe it got translated wrong and it should be PROPHET!!
How then do you explain all the businesses that go belly up because they can't make a profit.:p:p.
Not to mention the traders who blow up. Where's the profit in their labor?
Are you implying King Sol paid all the labourer's who toiled building the Temple?

    What does that proverb mean????

They answer to the christian lady's question should have been "Variety is the spice of life."
And really with 700 wives what's with the concubines?? I wonder if Hefner kept track.

YOU mean besides\ all of them[traders, any business] that used insane leverage\unwise leverage??
I DONT know why all fail, i'm not the LORD /LOL.
YOU mean besides , all of them that are lazy?? A friend of mine said '' i never got[killed] a deer + i've been hunting 20 years.Usually get 2 deer a year, but not every year. I asked how many days a week you hunt ?/ ''Saturday, some holidays'' [So i did not quote that Proverb to him, but hopefully he got the hint:caution::caution:]
The lazy catch no food to cook/ but a hard worker will get great wealth. Proverbs12, NCV.
I LOVE Proverbs, but they are guidelines/ i mean a lazy person could in[ USA] catch plenty of food on food stamps , but that Proverb is still a great guideline..................................

WHAT temple workers are you noting?? Thanks
