  1. It's because a true believer has the sealing of the Holy Spirit. Jesus put it this way, "My sheep hear My voice." God reveals Himself to His own. I've shared that many times on here.

OK, I'll keep this in mind that this is something you believe about Jesus and add it to what you've already said. I plan to fact check you on your beliefs.:sneaky:

Probably no such thing was said at the time, it was all part of folk law, old wives tales which caught the imagination of deadbeat cultists decades later.

Even the crucifiction "cross" is a scam, there was no cross, the original Greek or Hebrew word was pole, tree, stake, something like this.

  6. That has no bearing on whether or not Jesus can save someone by His substitutionary death and resurrection. He was crucified.

  7. According to Britannica, the "Wisdom of Solomon" was written sometime in the 1st century B.C. and is not excepted in either the Jewish or Protestant cannon.

"Written by a Jew in Alexandria sometime during the 1st century BC"

  8. Just because sins are covered at the cross like you say doesn't mean we should go out of our way to commit them does it? I believe that is what the 10 commandments are for?

  9. The way I see it is that in order to put my whole trust in a book as being inspired by God, which is going to affect my frame of reference to the rest of the world, I want to only consider books that are fully authentic. There are reasons the Apocrypha are not included in the Protestant Bible. In my opinon, for my own faith, if there is already a known source of truth, such as the Torah (the first five books of the Bible, written by Moses), then nothing should be included that contradicts this. That is only logical, if Moses is entirely trustworthy.

These 4 excerpts from an article discussing why the Apocrypha was left out of the Protestant Bible reveals some very good reasons that they were not included:

    1st Quote:
Today the word apocrypha is synonymous with the fourteen or fifteen books of doubtful authenticity and authority. These writings are not found in the Hebrew Old Testament, but they are contained in some manuscripts of the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, which was completed around 250 b.c. in Alexandria, Egypt.

    2nd Quote:
The case for including the apocrypha as holy Scripture completely breaks down when examined. The New Testament writers may allude to the apocrypha, but they never quote from it as holy Scripture or give the slightest hint that any of the books are inspired.

    3rd Quote:
The Jewish community also rejected these writings. At the Jewish Council of Jamnia (c. a.d. 90), nine of the books of our Old Testament canon were debated for differing reasons whether they were to be included. Eventually they ruled that only the Hebrew Old Testament books of our present canon were canonical.
    4th Quote:
Finally, there is no claim in any of these apocryphal books as to divine inspiration. One need only read these works alongside the Bible to see the vast difference.

Everything you know about God you've read in a book written by snakeoil merchants!.

if you study science, electricity, physics etc, you read then experiment to prove.
What experiments has proven God or the Jesus nursery rhyme?
