This debate kinda reminds me of the Book of Revelation. The Beginning starts with Good, for it speaks of Jesus and He is good, then the next few chapters touch on sin problems within churches, yet offset by God's goodness and promises. Then the church goes missing, no longer mentioned, and the topic is evil people doing evil as well as judgments from God, but like a pendulum swinging back and forth, there are places where the focus goes back to God and His praises for His goodness. Then back to evil oppression and judgments. Both become more and more extreme as the book continues. So we have an intense debate here between what is false and what is true, like a pendulum swinging back and forth. I can't join in either, because I have too much on my plate until probably tomorrow or next day.
That means you do not have time for God, and cannot devote your entire life defending Him. God considers that a sin, therefore you will not find righteousness in Him. Welcome to the land of the heathens. At least you tried.
I understand. Even the Israelites weren't built to carry out God's instructions re: the Cainites. (The comparison being that we all are not cut out for wet work.)
The only evidence you have is your 'prophesies' and they are highly debateable. That's all you bang on about.
Ahh, nice try, Overnight, but nope, not a heathen. I am totally bankrupt of any personal righteousness. That is why I can say the same thing the psalmist said: O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” Psalm 16:2
Then you are a liar, which is a sin. "...I can't join in either, because I have too much on my plate until probably tomorrow or next day." So which is it? You either have time for Him, or you do not. Hypocrisy is a sin.
I think he was referring to the "debate" in this thread: Of course, quotes in EliteTrader often have different interpretations by different ET scholars, (just like quotes from the Bible often have different interpretations from different biblical scholars). For example, in this clip, Homer interprets a discovery will save Ned time, but Ned interprets it differently ...
