If you are going to engage him, then best do it with truth. There was nothing truthful about that movie in it's comparison with themickey. I haven't seen the movie, but I read what it was about. What's that saying? You attract more flies with honey than vinegar. Hey, I actually believe in something that is not found in the Bible. Someone will be shocked.
And I'm running away now. You two can fight it out. I'll be ignoring this thread for a few days. It's a big distraction anyway. I didn't get done what I was working on this afternoon. Hope you're both alive when I come back.
Out of respect for you, I'll try get around to doing more research on a Christian engaging clowns before I proceed in that direction. Check out the movies if you can. And we don't know for certain whether @themickey has any similarities to the movies. But if he has even one similarity, my original assertion wasn't false.
Cultists need to cultivate a brain that's outside of robotically believing their 'holy book' and what their peers insist you believe, in other words, grow a pair of balls and stand on your own two legs for once in your life.
I do NOT watch horror movies. If I did, I'd be afraid of the monster under my bed. OK, now I'm really not going to check this thread for a few days.
Why not? Surely God will protect you from evil, because you are "in Christ". So you are now doubting your faith? That is not believing in God to protect you from evil, which is a mortal sin. Without Christ, you are nothing but a coward. And God hates cowards who do not believe in Him. You need to learn to lighten up, Francis, and enjoy life a little. Let yourself be scared once in a while.
Imagine the following: Scenario#1 According to Wiki, Adam and Eve were created between 6000 to 8000 years ago. Therefore Satan has had ownership of earth at least that long. Scenario#2 There is a family in existence totally oblivious to Christianity. Heathen family raise children, work, care for each other, serve in the community. One day missionary arrives, pokes his nose in and says; "Repent and be baptised, if you don't you're off to hell for certain". So we have this situation: Satan roams the earth and has control (gawd only knows why God has handed over control to an evil monster He created) for thousands of years. Heathen family are innocently born onto this earth 70 years and face eternity in hell where there is fire, brimstone and much gnashing of teeth unless under ultimatum they don't choose the missionaries advice. Even if they had not heard or seen such missionary, they are still destined to hell. God creates humans where there is a high chance they are screwed. Do you see the logic? Satan gets thousands of years freedom, mankind gets 70. That's Christian logic for you. I think I want to join these nutcases.
