Blah blah blah, Jesus this, demons that, yakkity yak yak yak. How do you get anything done during the day? Heads full of nonsense. Like hell it is.
Nice? Ex 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of." Luke 9:52-55 NKJV
God brings judgment. Christians aren't commanded to execute God's judgment. The most a Christian is instructed to do is to disassociate with evil people, and warn others of an evil person. Where do you find in the New Testament any permission to treat any person with disrespect?
This was Paul's heart for his fellow Israelites that didn't believe. He had the thought of wishing to be eternally damned from Christ if it could mean His own kinsmen would be saved. That is very selfless and shows concern for people, even if they never do end up believing. Romans 9:2-4a: (Paul wrote): 2I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4the people of Israel.
Jesus has acted out of anger (money changers in church). The law was not to not be angry, but to not let the sun set on your anger. Did Jesus commit any sins by overturning the money tables etc.? Wasn't that disrespectful? Did I by posting a joke/meme/wisecrack? We all know that God is a God of peace. But we mustn't forget that God is also a God of war. God can and does use evil people to accomplish his will. This implies that he can use good people that have done evil things to also accomplish his will. Remember Sampson? What was the purpose of giving him extra strength? For as long as you've seen me in this form, I've rarely been 'not nice.' Today, I feel authorized to start engaging our little anti-christ.
