I appreciate your giving extra information in your answers. I extend the same offer to you ... to answer a question or two you may have for me.
I've never thought in terms of percentage and its a weird question, obviously you're looking for a "gotcha". I would say the chance of the bible being God's spoken truth at 0%. Saying that, the bible does touch on many things I agree with and are good. The chance of Christ being the messiah as portrayed by the bible at maybe 5%, or put it this way, I think there's no chance but one can't rule it out. I wouldn't be giving Christians cheek if I thought you guys had any legitimacy in your religous beliefs. The chance there is a God at maybe 99% but it's nothing like the Christian version and it/He doesn't require us to continually sing his praises. If I breed animals, then I'm expected to take good care of them but I don't expect them to pay me back or for them to serve me. The Christian version of God is stupid, but its also clever. You see, in order to manipulate you guys, the authors of Christianity said you must serve God in church, thats how they rope you in to become slaves to the church heirachy.
There is zero chance of eternal life/God. You can prove this yourself. Think of one memory you had before you were born. If you cannot remember one, it means there is no God. We'll wait while you try to recall a memory of before you were born.
It doesn't work that way, and you know that. Enjoy your shit now, because when you die, there is nothing. Not even a YOU.
Thanks for the answer and again ... the additional commentary No gotcha question, just curious. If I may ask a couple more questions: Do you believe that there are Biblical prophecies that have been fulfilled ex post facto? What is the basis for your belief in your 'own version' of God--and your description of such, if you reject the Biblical version? Another book? Made up in your mind?
Yeah, just like on ET, when a prediction comes good you hear about it. When they don't come good we get crickets. Very easy to post your historical prediction when it comes good. There are also predictions we are still waiting for in the bible, +2000 years now.
I don't have a basis for my beliefs in the existence of God, just amazing though how nature and physics etc fit together, if there were no God, I would assume we would have more chaos. As for books, baloney to books, they are just opinions, I'm not a cultist to authors.
