The Bible was written for ordinary people. Israelite parents were to teach their children the law of Moses, they were to write it out and talk about it often. 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Psalm 1 describes a man who ponders on the law of God throughout the day. Psalm 1 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
Rather than trolling to make jabs at whatever I or other Christians write, why don't we try to have a rational discussion. What is your strongest reason for not believing the Bible? I suppose if you have a lot of reasons, then maybe make a list. Then I (and maybe some others will chime in) will try to change your mind. (Debate the issues is the better way to put it, but it's really the same thing.)
This is like two people in the sea, one saying to the other "I'll save you", while reaching out to grab a straw. The diiference between heathen and Christian, the Christian wastes a good deal of their lives reading a man made book, attending man made congregation, worshipping a man made mental god, and tithing to the man. Thru faith (wishful thinking and false belief) they believe they have a spiritual experience and in communion with God. They believe in creation (its a possibility) but reject evolution, chance, randomness, luck. According to Christians every tick has a purpose and is designed, nothing is random or chance. So the Christian spends his life chasing a man made doctrine contrived by others, to be something they aren't and will never achieve, full of guilt from being themselves. Meanwhile the heathen spend their life chasing something they want, not what somone else wants.
Again, every individual is different. You love pigeonholing all Christians as believing and doing the same things. Certainly you know that that's not true. Look up the definition of 'Christian.' That's all they must have in common--nothing more. Again, I can only speak for myself. If you want to know whether I do the "stereotypical" things you mention, you'll have to first ask me.
Like trading, you have to follow your own system. Any attempt to piggyback on someone else's methods is doomed to failure.
You don't know your own country. Australia is crazy. https://www.republicworld.com/world...-they-were-trying-to-mate-with-the-snake.html
