  2. Pastor Brooks is doing an awesome work! I fully commend his efforts and other programs like this that give kids a place safe place to go to, caring for them and teaching them to care for others and teaching them non-violence.

    There is only so much that programs can do to help people live better lives. Don't get me wrong, these programs are important and these values they are teaching are important. They can make the difference between a person who treats others as they themselves want to be treated as opposed to criminal behavior done without regard for those they commit crimes against.

    Jesus is able to radically change a person. He helps by giving people a relationship with Himself and the Spirit of Christ convicts of sin and helps with learning to choose right over wrong and making good choices should be motivated by our love for Him.

    Reforming bad behavior is always good, but belonging to Jesus and having His help in the battle against sin is even better. Jesus also promises believers an eternal life without sin and without sin's devastating consequences.

    9 We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,
    10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
    11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
    12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
    13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
    14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

    Colossians 1:9-13

    In other words, your whole point is not that christians with "religion in their hearts" don't do awful stuff, but they do less of it. Seriously, you think that's a good answer?

    Christians abort, but they abort less than non religious people
    christians murder, but murder less than non christians
    christian priests molest children, but fewer than non religious people
    Christian drunk drivers kill less numbers of people than non religious drunk drivers
    Christian presidents who connect their god with war, are fewer than christian presidents that don't do that.

    bit like arguing the more christians there are, the more shit they'll inevitably be responsible for.

    Considering there is always the vast majority of people with no religion who would never think of committing the horrific crimes those christians "that have religion in their hearts" do, kind of shows how absurd your religion and arguments are.

  5. The more Christians there are, the less crime there will be.

    They like to abide by the Ten Commandments.

    "Christians abort, but they abort less than non religious people
    christians murder, but murder less than non christians
    christian priests molest children, but fewer than non religious people
    Christian drunk drivers kill less numbers of people than non religious drunk drivers
    Christian presidents who connect their god with war, are fewer than christian presidents that don't do that"

    Now you are getting it. Non-Christians are responsible for the majority of EVIL.

    Good job!

    Lol

    So again christians do actually commit EVIL then. Well done!

    Also, if the majority identifies as christian, the majority is going to be most likely responsible for most evil.

    Majority of both atheists and christians don't commit evil.
    This doesn't account for why christians do commit evil..
    Nor does it account for all the non-religious, non-christians who don't need to be christian to not commit evil
    :p

  7. Romans 3:9-12

    9...Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:

    “There is no one righteous, not even one;
    11 there is no one who understands;
    there is no one who seeks God.
    12 All have turned away,
    they have together become worthless;
    there is no one who does good,
    not even one.”

    "...all our deeds of righteousness are like filthy rags..." Isaiah 64:6

  8. Christians aren't any better than anybody else. Some of us might even be worse than most. Christians aren't saved by trying to be good. Being good doesn't erase sin.

    Christians are given righteousness by God, and it's not earned. "...not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith." Philippians 3:9

  9. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

    21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:15-25

    Stu, does that clear it up for you?

  10. All you really need to know is that EVIL exists.

    Religion tries it's hardest to stop it.

    Atheism probably believes that EVIL doesn't even exist.

    Therefore, they are no help with the problem.
