(Anyone else that played this please feel free to add answers/ideas.) 1) Where did the specialist begin dropping the bid in a big way? 2) Was there a point(s) in the free fall where the specialist tried to test the sellers by dropping it more quickly or walking it up to pull some more money in? 3) Was there a point where the specialist had scared off the weak holders and the stock had put in an easily indentifiable bottom. Looking at the chart after the fact it is easy to see the bottom. How was it best seen in realtime? 4) Was there a point when you felt the specialist would start paring off some of the inventory he picked up as the price fell? Was this seen in the size of the sales or the speed that they were refreshed? What was it about the activity that strongly indicated that the specialist was ready to unload? 5) What did you see specifically in Level II quotes? Thanks for all you have shared.
