For a hodler, I have been making a lot of high time preference moves, lately Bought cep at ~33, saw paper profits of over 50k, only to sell for a few thousand $ profits, now cep is shooting up, Bought asst, saw paper profits of 12-15k, only to sell 80% of the position at near be, 6.50/sh yesterday asst closed at 13 And all that selling was to go buy more mstr call options that are doing sh*t, iv going down, and have to endure all the bearish mstr twitter posts from Josh day after day, fml But, enough of my whining this is gme thread after all I just got impatient (there's the problem again!) with gme not making announcement on purchase of bitcoin, they already got $1.5B from convertible bonds sale and they have another $4.7B in cash, wtf, announce already! I had already imagined the amount of intrinsic value when those gme Jan 27 call options are ditm when gme hits $75-$125, anyway, I sold them for near break-even also and now that position would cost me $10k gme will probably announce the bitcoin purchase on their next earnings call, it will be interesting if they purchased more than the convertible debt funds and at what price, this will show how much conviction they have on bitcoin and if they will join the global race of companies being orange pilled into using bitcoin as the treasury asset
I felt the fomo and purchased jan gme calls, not as much as before, and higher strike price, but will hodl if gme announces bitcoin purchase
GME has just reached 50% return since the thread's start. I know it is still behind BTC, but we could consider both winners. Maybe Roaring Kitty will help me out.
I am going to dig a hole and live in it for the rest of my days. Fake coins getting to 110k a piece. GME stocks returning 50% on average. From your favourite reporter: "GameStop is closing a "significant number" of stores in fiscal year 2025, following a closure of 970 stores in 2024. This includes 590 stores in the US, 336 in Europe, 33 in Australia, and 11 in Canada. The closures are part of a broader restructuring plan to improve profitability amid declining in-person sales and shifts in consumer behavior. GameStop is also investing in Bitcoin and other alternative revenue streams, including collectibles and PSA grading, as part of its transformation strategy."
It's difficult to shift time-frame perspectives. While I do subscribe to the concept that 'Price Action is Fractal', mixing intra-day with inter-day strategies and tactics can trip up even the most seasoned.
Wait, wait, let me tell you about a used car dealership called Carvana... 1500% return in 2 years. It is up 100% in the last 2 months.
Some day traders might short it now. Some might wait till just before end of day and decide from there
