I forgot about that, my air bag light went off also on my 740iL. The only fix for it is to disconnect the battery for a while then connect it again. Although the light comes on again eventually. BTW The battery is in the trunk, and I remember another story about this but not the details, something about when you have the battery disconnected do not close the trunk. I don't remember exactly but it has something to do with how the locks are set up electronically and you won't be able to open the trunk even with the key.
Also another thing you reminded me of, I had windshield problems also like many others do. Creates a lot of wind noise at 60 MPH and above, especially on windy days.

All their money, and then some. Ford and GM, in that order, are both going out of business not because they make bad cars, but because of the UAW.

  3. But of course. If GM and Ford workers were willing to work for peanuts and without health benefits and were also considerate enough to die before their retirement then american automakers would have a very nice competitive advantage over their Japanese, Korean and German competitors which employees actually do enjoy big salaries, guaranteed healthcare, pensions and vacations.

  4. Stop fabricating. 300,000 miles and not even a oil change. And I still sold it in perfect condition. Anyone smell bs? Tell me MRWSM, are you long GM?

  5. Remove all tariffs on imports. Lets bring in the China models or anyone else who wants to sell in our markets via free trade by example. If GM is such a miraculous company, it will survive and thrive.

    ha!

GM promotes a company culture of laziness and half-assed work in order to produce cheap cars. The American auto industry has an unspoken pact -- enginer cars to breakdown every 8 to 10 years. This forces hardworking Americans to purchase new vechicles, at inflated prices, which is a ripoff given the cheap-ass quality to begin with. The American auto got away with it because they held this disgusting monopoly for many years.

However the chickens have finally come home to roost at GM. Bullshit antics they have pulled over the decades have come to a screeching halt as competition exposed these bastards for what they reallty are: cunts. GM's days are numbered, and the officers know it too. They can no longer compete because they don't know how, just like a firm when its oligopoly goes bust. Not even sending their lobbists to congress and slaping some FAT tariffs on imported cars could protect their monopoly. No matter how hard they tried, they could not knock down Asian ingenuity. The more tariffs the currupt congress added, the more efficent foreign auto makers were forced to become. GM's pulled everything they could out of their ass to no avail, and now only they have one option left: liquidate.

You know what I'm talking about. I use the best oil, Mobil 1 Synthetic and change it regularly. Brake pads, tires, gas all that common sense stuff no need to mention. I play with GM stock in and out, currently no position but looking for an entry and I'm not counting on this thread to move the stock. LOL Just getting sick of all the foriegn car owners needing to bash american cars. Another thing that foriegn car owners feel they need to do is fly an american flag on their car, or a sticker of a flag to show how patriotic they are. I don't need that because I drive my flag.

  8. GM's problems are the same as the airlines and so many others. American labor is alot more and not worth it. I don't know what the right answer is to solve it because Americans have to eat. I don't think capitalism works in the long run and you see the little cracks in it now. The wealth needs to be more equality dividend to solve alot of the problems. The problem is nobody wants to hear that kind of answer.

  9. McDonalds is always hiring. And they even offer discounted meals to employees. If people aren't willing to work, let's see if they're not willing to eat.
