GM available for short on open?

  1. Was it only IB customers that were unable to short GM at the open today?

  2. I don't know, but usually if you can't short, there are two reasons.

    1) You don't have the buying power
    2) the broker didn't have enough shares available to lend to you.

  3. Gov't is subsidizing GM warranties!

We are going into a deep deep depression, the gov't is writing checks it can't cash.

What about Kia? What about the other automobile makers who were prudent?

The gov't can't stop the decline in GM, it can only provide more volatility.

    This is nutso!

  4. I was shocked when our president said that today. Next press conference, we'll probably see him do live endorsements.

"I'm President Obama, and when I get thirsty from spending Trillions of dollas, I grab a Gatorade. It's actually made from the sweat of old, rich, white men.....delicious! Gatorade biatches!"
