Globex halted???

    If the CME keeps this technical bs up, then the Eurex/Liffe will come over they will kick CME's ass! The competition will try to point out that they have fewer technical problems and they are up all the time, etc. as the selling point. Blah. Blah.

    Well, I was able to cancel a prior sitting sell limit order that was entered before it went down.

    This outage of Globex is amazing. As one of the largest, if not THE largest electronic exchange, I presume that CME has the best redudancy and fault tolerance that money can buy. Once the dust settles, it will be very interesting to see what caused this.

    Just heard it's reopening at 1:45 EDT, and trading will resume at at 2:15.

    Yes 3:15 is correct. I heard the guy from the pit in Chicago say 2:15 and forgot to adjust.

  7. GLOBEX will reopen at 2:15 PM CST. There will be a pre-opening starting at 1:45 PM CST when you may place orders for the open.

    Globex halted. Announced in the pits that it is halted for the day. Cant wait till Eurex/Liffe takes over.:confused:
