  1. That’s the part I was wondering?

Any ET members have accounts with them, and tell us about execution (confirmation)?

  3. I noticed the email and thought I would lend my opinion and experience with Global thus far. First of all in terms of execution, they're as good as it gets...you have to remember, this firm is a main IB of some very large FCMS, so the execution connection for both pit and electronic is based on what the FCM's offer. In terms of major execution, PATS and X-Trader rule the roost for electronic trading worldwide, one of their FCMs is a leader in PATS, and maintains some of the newest and most robust PATS servers. Another FCM they use, is one of the major X-trader shops in the world....even the president of X-Trader goes thru that FCM.

So execution here is as good or better as any other major brokerage or FCM...just dont go trading the miniMidcap...and start complaining about slippage when you miss a tick...haha...because a thin market...is always going to be a thin market...no matter how fast your execution is.

In terms of German clients and Global emailing clients in Germany...I actually have experience here as well, being a dual-citizen of German and the US, along with family over there....we all do some trading from time to time. Of course if you're in Germany or whatever country....you would most likely prefer someone to speak with...in your native tongue.

For my needs, I speak both, but my family over there, especially the cousins and uncles...as much as they say they know english...they still need all their help in German, so it seems Global is keeping them pretty happy, I know for my uncle they connected to his desktop and remotely helped him install his X-trader demo, because he is quite technologically illiterate.

Since I've referred some family and friends to Global, I did some investigation as to how things run in Europe....

I have read the bafin laws on foreign firms doing business in Germany, and I afraid to say the poster is very off the mark with your legal analysis. You can go to the BAFIN website and read the entire 23 page document, that highlights who needs what, in terms of regulations. The main overriding factor is that if the financial firm is not holding money or doing discretionary execution of the clients trades, as all IB's do NOT do....only FCM's execute and their banks hold the money, in customer secured accounts, and the trades are done by self directed traders.

So if the firms are fully licensed and regulated in their country, such as Global being fully licensed and regulated by the NFA and CFTC, then they are allowed to take on clients from Bafin regulated countries...its right in the bylaws...read it.

In terms of them spamming you...all I can say is that if you're getting free demos from them, as they offer 15+ trading platforms, and demos today all come through email...dont be too surprised if you get a marketing email from them as well....remember demos with live market data...arent free to the firms, but clients today expect them for free...I'm sure they like all other firms, have a do not email list...just remove your demo account emails and I'm sure you wont get emails anymore.

Anyhow...hope this helps, if you have some more questions about this or other trading related things...I trade quite a bit on both equities and futures...along with some forex, just ask. I just came upon ET 2 months ago, and I have so say the site has some great help and members on it....I've gotten some reallly indepth and educated answers to my questions, so I'm just here to return the favor.

    thanks a lot.
i have never done o demo over global .also ive never had any conntact with them.
the bafin rules i have also gone thrue.but my view is an other .
companies witch are not registred in eu as an ib, they cannot make advertisement to get german clients. this taste a litte bit strange for me. shure a german desk sounds good ,but there is an other meanig or strategy behind. if they are just looking to their clients ,why they spam me?
they must have an interest to generate clients in the eu.
also globa gets warend from the italiens and austrian marketregulations to stop thier activities in europe without having a license.
a financial organization has to work in legal spheres to get me as a client.
i am sorry for my english i would be better one time.
