  3. LOL, Daily Mail. Like a scholarly journal for right wingers. I wouldn't trust that source to report on the shit my dog just took. But of course, you do.

The Daily Mail has been widely criticized for its unreliability, as well as printing of sensationalist and inaccurate scare stories of science and medical research[11][12][13][14][15] and of copyright violations.[16]

  4. No, he said that "one prediction is for an ice free Arctic" by now. HE didn't predict it and yes it was one of the more dramatic predictions made.

It's actually not too far off, which you wouldn't know since you live on a steady diet of right wing bullshit sources, which in turn are funded by big oil.

The prediction is actually fairly accurate....

An "ice-free" Arctic Ocean is often defined as "having less than 1 million square kilometers of sea ice", because it is very difficult to melt the thick ice around the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.[15][16][17] The IPCC AR5 defines "nearly ice-free conditions" as sea ice extent less than 106 km2 for at least five consecutive years.[3]

Many scientists have attempted to estimate when the Arctic will be "ice-free". Professor Peter Wadhams of the University of Cambridge is among these scientists.[18] Wadhams and several others have noted that climate model predictions have been overly conservative regarding sea ice decline.[2][19] A 2013 paper suggested that models commonly underestimate the solar radiation absorption characteristics of wildfire soot.[20] A 2006 paper predicted "near ice-free September conditions by 2040".[21]Overland and Wang (2013) investigated three different ways of predicting future sea ice levels. From sea ice models and recent satellite images it can be expected that a sea ice free summer will come before 2020.[22] The IPCC AR5 (for at least one scenario) estimates an ice-free summer might occur around 2050.[3] The Third U.S. National Climate Assessment (NCA), released May 6, 2014, reports that the Arctic Ocean is expected to be ice free in summer before mid-century. Models that best match historical trends project a nearly ice-free Arctic in the summer by the 2030s.[23] However, these models do tend to underestimate the rate of sea ice loss since 2007. Based on the outcomes of several different models, Overland and Wang (2013) put the early limit for a sea ice free summer Arctic near 2040.[22]

much more at link... including links to articles and papers indicating that some to all sea melt is due natural factors.

this article also explains why the models which claim that warming from ocean floor could be far more significant that nutter models claim.

    http://www.plateclimatology.com/ano...d-by-geological-heat-flow-not-global-warming/

These research studies, conducted by reliable institutions, prove beyond any reasonable doubt that anomalous Arctic Sea Ice melting involves a complex interaction process between many natural forces, not just atmospheric forces (see here, here, and here). This is a major setback for climate scientists and politicians advocating man-made atmospheric global warming. Turns out that the poster child and supposedly 97% resolved a portion of the theory which states human CO2 emissions are the singular cause of anomalous Arctic Sea Ice melting is—in the vernacular—a lot of hot air.

This article will provide information demonstrating that natural geological heat flow, specifically geologically induced seafloor heat flow and chemically charged heated seawater flow, is actually the dominate natural force causing Arctic sea ice melting. Information substantiating this contention falls into three categories: Seafloor Geological Heat Flow Engine, Ocean Column Warming Process, and Recent Geological Heat Flow Events.

    Summary

It is clearly no longer reasonable to insist, as per past statements by consensus climate scientists, that man-made atmospheric global warming is the direct and complete cause of anomalous Arctic sea ice melting. Begrudgingly accepting this as correct, the climate science community has once again adjusted the supposedly 97% settled global warming theory to include a minimal contribution by unknown natural forces. This steady progression of adjustments to global warming tTheory through the years, including recasting it as climate change, have rendered it almost unrecognizable relative to its original tenets and projected climate influences. Some argue that theories which constantly require major revisions have an inherent problem and should be relegated to lower / less certain hypothesis status. (see Theory and Hypothesis Definitions)

The basic problem with the global warming theory from the very beginning, and still in large part today, is that it incorrectly assumes Earth’s atmosphere is the overwhelming and dominant driver of all anomalous climate and climate-related events. A growing body of evidence shows that this assumption is incorrect and that other natural forces play a significant, and in some cases dominant, role in driving Earth’s anomalous: climate, weather, and climate-related events. More bluntly, it’s time to call off the dogs in global warming dogma and reinstitute a more free-thinking scientific approach of climate studies.

A good starting place is to carefully consider the role natural geological forces likely play, as per the Plate Climatology Theory, in the anomalous melting of Arctic sea ice.

  7. Again! With the intellectual dishonesty. Lies.

The author of that hack climate mercenary piece.....from the website, that is his, that is paid for with "donations" from the fossil fuel interests.

James Edward Kamis is a Geologist and AAPG member of 41 years and who has always been fascinated by the connection between Geology and Climate. Years of research and observation have convinced him that the Earth’s Heat Flow Engine, which drives the outer crustal plates, is also an important driver of the Earth’s climate.

He received a BS in Geology from Northern Illinois University in 1973 and an MS in Geology from Idaho State University in 1976. He is proud to have worked for mining and oil companies that practiced responsible harvesting of materials necessary to sustain human life; Becker Industries, ARCO, Cross Timbers, Texaco, Fina, Union 76, and BTA Oil Producers LLC. He is currently retired.

Jem, are you being compensated to argue about this? Because this is the BS that a fossil fuel funded right wing think tank operative would say. You have to be fucking kidding me! It's SOOOOO obvious that this is a hack piece by an unqualified industry whore, and yet you put it out there.

But I like how you include all of his references - which means nothing - to give the veneer of respectability. Classic denier machine stuff. Deception.

And you wonder why I call you a liar. Very unChristianlike of you.

Hey asswipe... its not a lie to point out an article by a skeptic who links to studies and papers which explain that some of the ice decrease may be explained by natural cycles.

he linked to papers and journals. bbc, nature, phys.org.

what the fuck is wrong with you?
    deal with the science..

here is the link to one of the main points he was making...
an on NPRs website... are they paid oil industry lobbyists?

Oh wow, he actually provided links to good sources!! Gee!!! So no matter what BS he says he has that going at least! LOL

You are not really this stupid. You're just a liar.

Are you being compensated to argue this? Yes or no.

you don't have decent bone in your body.
    you call me a liar...
    then you proffer bullshit.

why do you never say something reasonable like...

interesting it looks like the author was right. maybe some the ice loss in due to natural cycles. But, then say... but I never said it was all man made co2.

your industry whore argument is silly. you make that claim in just about every time you see a conclusion you don't like. Its you substitute for an argument about the science.

you have industry whores and govt funding whores... and a few playing it straight.
in the end for you own benefit you have to read the science.. the opinion does not mater.
