I'm pretty sure this incident will affect NOBODY here. After all, nobody here trades real money and SHOWS it.

So stop fucking bloviating about something that does affect you. FFS

Nothing happened, sir. Some people got a delay in service is all.

We've been dealing with the Windows BSOD for decades. Tomorrow at this time, this news artifice will be gone.

    Mark it.

Take this incident as a (100% innocent) shot across the bow folks.

I mean we all know it, I'm not revealing anything earth-shattering here... but take note...it's so easy, it's human nature, to ignore all the potential bad things that could happen in our lives because day after day.... for the last 80 years, we have had it so good. We all wake up to warm showers, gas and electric, a stocked refrigerator... everything. Life is cush. There's no denying it. Regardless of your rung on the socioeconomic ladder in America. We have it good.

And again.... allow me to preface this with "I'm not trying to be a master of the obvious" (we already have one Stoney), because I am totally not. At least to you people. But our cush life is extremely fragile. Not from a conspiracy point of view.... but simply from the way things things all work now.

If we ever did go to war with Russia or China, I'm telling ya, you better have lots of cash... and a friggin generator.

Some would say "lots of ammo too."
I guess that'll depend on where you live.

Not being all dooms-day here, but it's coming folks. In our lifetimes.

  7. I am so glad I'm not a software engineer. The current state of what companies will accept for their mission critical systems is unbelievable.

I think I would have an aneurysm.

You would expect layered security, redundancy, testing of incoming updates before deployment, etc.

Instead you just saw that all the companies blindly accept updates from a third party and immediately push them to their active production systems.

Imagine if Crowd strike has been compromised by a bad actor and ransomware has been pushed out. Of if someone nefarious had permanently bricked those systems.

    Great points.
Anyone want to fathom a guess where CRWD will (or has) bottomed out? I think it's just getting started. Unfortunate for them, but it is what it is.

  9. Current P/E ratio 667!
P/B 34 it could fall a long way.

But it (had) revenue growth so some people seem to lose their brain around that.

Who knows. I could see 80 but there I would guess that there is a lot of passive investment in the stock where people don't even know it's part of their portfolio or can't divest themselves of it without simultaneously selling their ownership of 100 other things.

I don't know, but I've gotta think they are going to get buried in lawsuits. They said DAL has cancelled 550 flights today alone. Think DAL isn't pissed? :D
