    Bonds cushioning stocks is one of those "truths" that there's a lot more nuance to... 70/30 portfolio didn't do so well in 2022.

    What globe are they referring to?

    I guess when stocks go up everyday for 6 months any red day is a “tumble”.

    Down 1% is the new bear market. Reminds me of the threads on here in 2009 where the PPT would be summoned if there was a down 10 handle day on the ES.

    Circle the globe 7 or 8 times, may find some.SH did downtick, a bit \ no tumble yet.
    Dont know why any would want to sell their gov bonds, worked so well for SVB.[sarcasm]:D:D
    But I can see the logic of buying + selling bonds[exclude inflation + opportunity costs];
    bonds tend to have smaller losses.
    Takes all kinds to make a market; some may trade better than SVB:caution::caution:
