  1. Great article about AMZN. Yes, I have made disparaging comments and made some dollars short the stock after the Kindle announcement run-up, but my negativity was all based on the stock's valuation. It's surely an amazing, disruptive company that is just scratching the surface of what it might accomplish. I will certainly be looking for a spot to start buying in 2012.

  2. Euro down to CHF 1.2102, now lower than the spike down when Hildy announced his resignation.

  3. now at CHF 1.2088. Curious that this is happening on a day when the euro is shooting higher vs. the dollar. Must be some technical shit. Anyways, central planning fans have their opportunity to short more francs.

Short some CHF today @1.2106 than covered before I had to go out for a couple of hours @1.2119 - quite fortunate !

Looking closely and planning to short some more.

  7. There is rumor of a huge no touch struck at 1.2. May be a lot of money defending that strike.

I just noticed one can buy muni bonds(non ETFs) on IB. NY munis could be a good buy, someone told me they are yielding 5%+ and it seems likely the gov would not allow it to fail(NYC GDP is larger than Australia and just a bit smaller than Canada)

I might park some cash there

Actually scrap that. I can't find the yield on General Obligation bonds of NYC(Only NY state) but judging by the avg yield of GO bonds in US states there is not much juice(Maturity 2015 they yield around 0.6-1.5%)

The NYC munis with high yield are revenue bonds, I will leave this for the experts who can tell if they are mispriced
