By that I mean traders/investors who trade on any timeframe in any asset-class in any country and do their own extensive research, focusing on developments on a wide scale. I am starting at a fundamental orientated quant-fund soon (#1 in its category) and am looking for good contacts in the area of research orientated trading, software, portfolio management, econometrics, but also algorithmic trading in high frequency, venture capital, private equity.
