As I mentionned in another thread I am contemplating the purchase of a small size of Global bonds (US issuer). Because the size is so small getting proper legal advice would cost me probably more than the face value of the bonds lol... I am getting conflicting information regarding whether this Global bond will be subject to US witholding tax or not. I am based in HK and pay HK tax. Does anybody know ?... Thanks.
