The CIA has been covertly supplying weapons to various groups since its inception...thats what they do. Those covert actions are seldom willingly disclosed to the public. Usually select members of congress are informed and they keep their mouth shut. Elected officials lie to the american people constantly...that is how they get elected and stay in office. If every single thing in Glenn Beck's video is true, why in the world would any of it result in the president getting impeached...let alone face criminal charges?? If the president lies under oath to a judical body then he can face impeachment. If congress had passed a law stating that no weapons could be sent to Libya and the president did it anyways then he could face impeachment. Half of congress wanted to support the Libyan rebels including many republicans. This story had the potential to be a political fiasco prior to the elections, but it just did not work out that way. Some low level CIA and defense officials may lose their jobs for incompetence, but the president will not face anything serious. Presidents do not make tactical battlefield decisions involving CIA contractors...even if they are ex-Navy SEALS. If the ambassador was dealing arms for the CIA as Beck claims, then he was doing covert paramilitary work for the govt and had to know that was risky. Remember this was not a team of peace corps volunteers who were tricked into being in a combat zone by the president. Glenn Beck knows all of this and to his credit he is doing what he is supposed to do on TV, providing entertainment to his audience. I really enjoyed that video, it was classic Glenn Beck, but you have to understand the context that Beck was coming from and you have to understand how the legal and politcal system in the United States works. Remember Iran Contra and remember Black Hawk down (the Spectre Gunships that were denied) presidents on the left and the right moved right thru those incidents.
