Give up my guns?

The question is not about whether we need an AR15 or not. AR15's have no place in society. There is literally no reason a civilian population should have for using an AR15. None, zero.

But if you have no method or procedure to remove them from the bad civilians, then you need to let the good civilians keep theirs. I've said before that I would give up my guns if you could somehow get rid of all the illegal ones on the street in the hands of the bad guys. But you can't - and you continue to ignore this one deciding factor.

Since you are unable to get the bad guys to give up theirs, you will be unable to convince the good guys to give up theirs.

You do know this is futurecurrents you're talking to, right? Adult conversation isn't his specialty.

It is the first time I speak to the guy(at least that I remember of). I would be contradicting myself if I didn't give him the chance to have a polite discussion, even after he lost control and tried to change the conversation from the topic to myself, by trying to offend me. He did it, I pointed out the flaw and I'll wait for his answer, because I meant it, when I said I prefer to have a polite discussion. Let's see... I have nothing to lose either way.:)

Self-defense is a right and a more fundamental need than transportation, for the simple reason that dead people don't need transportation. Drop the specious left wing talking points.

  6. But it's not about removing them from the bad guys. It's about making it harder for Johnny nut job to get one.......for the twentieth time.

And I am talking about certain guns, not all guns......for the twentieth time.

  7. Agree. But we don't need AR15s and handguns to do that.

Guns like the AR15 and all handguns should be be banned.

Other than Lawrence using identity politics against the left, the debate sounds very similar to the one on this thread.

    Paraphrasing below:

Libtard: We need common sense gun laws to prevent school shootings.
Genius: Name a specific gun law that would have prevented Texas school shooting.
    Libtard: duuuuuuuuuhhhhhh....deeeerrrrrr......uhhhhh......common sense.....duuuuhhhh

And for the twentieth time, it IS about removing them from bad guys. You're asking folks with guns to get on the side of giving up firearms, but telling us that you want us to give up ours while the bad guys keep theirs. No fucking way will you ever get any gun owner to agree.

So, instead, figure out a way to get rid of the criminals with guns and we'll be a lot more willing to listen to your argument about giving up our own.

    For the twentieth time.
