Give up my guns?

  1. Just in case you're thinking the police are coming to protect you, consider this:

The I-Team reports that only one of every five homicides committed in Chicago in 2017 has been solved.

    CHICAGO (WLS) --
As a national gun debate rages in the wake of Sunday's Texas church massacre, the number of U.S. murders that go unsolved is spiking at an alarming rate.
According to the latest Chicago Police Department data, about 85 percent of killings this year have not been solved. Currently the number of homicides in Chicago stands at 601.

That puts the city on track for a record-low "clearance rate" in 2017, and among, or at, the lowest solve-rates for murders in the nation.

Chicago's numbers are well below the 2016 national clearance average of 59.4 percent according to FBI records, and even that was the first time the national clearance rate dropped below 60 percent.

    And this:

Currently for 2018 the numbers are 82% of murders going unsolved in Chicago. They can't even find the killers, let alone protect you from them.

A speed limit makes everyone on the road more safe. Those who decide to break the law are a danger to themselves, and even to others, this is true. But removing all the guns from the law abiding citizens and having the criminals keep theirs so they can then target everyone else is a totally different situation than "some people speeding". But hey, don't let logic get in the way of your narrative.

All the stats on Chicago gun violence you could ever hope for. Too bad Chicago gun laws are so lax. Oh wait...that's right. It's all the criminals driving over the border to the S-Mart for a gun. Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart.

Sigh. Like talking to a wall. Please quote where I said that all guns should be banned.

I've now said it like twenty three times. Handguns, of all types, and any long gun with external magazines or internal capacity of more than five rounds should be banned. NOT ALL GUNS !!!!

    Holy crap.

You're right, I should have typed "removing semi-automatic weapons from law abiding citizens and letting bad guys keep theirs so they can target those with only hunting rifles and shot guns is a totally different situation than "some people speeding" but don't let that interfere with your narrative." Better?

I'm glad you agree that the weapon matters. That's precisely the point I am making, and why getting law abiding citizens to turn in their semi automatic pistols while bad guys keep their AR15s and pistols is a bad idea.

    Finally, we agree.
