No, I'm not saying that at all. I just got into this because I thought you had misinterpreted a post from bone. Who knows, you may cause one of these anti-gun zealots to rethink their position.
I doubt that! More likely, and what I hope, is someone who is on the fence reads the back and forth and realizes how insane the liberal position is.
The Left got me to join the NRA and give them a donation beyond the membership fee. Now I am looking to take quality gun training courses and get a concealed carry permit for a compact 9mm pistol. Still doing research on brands and trigger action types, but hopefully this will be done in a month or so.
No, that over time, 20, 30 years from now, we would see the impact. And I'm not even advocating a ban, just restrictions on semi-auto weapons of certain caliber/barrel length and high cap. mags.
And yet it is you that thinks banning assault rifles and hand guns would not make it harder for Johnny Nut job to obtain one. THAT is insane, and why you richly deserved the title gun nut.
I think you are correct that we would see some measure of impact over 20 or 30 years. The issue I have is to what degree of impact we would see, and that I'm not disarming myself for 20 or 30 years while criminals keep their weapons.
Yet another example of ignoring what people say to parrot the same thing back. What I said was if Johnny Nut Job wants to kill people, your ban won't stop him. Instead of going after legal owners of firearms who do not break the law with your ban (and who the ban would really affect) you need to identify and prosecute the nut jobs before they commit the crimes.
