You might be surprised to know that police set up a sting called To Catch a Predator on Dateline and used a female to pose as a 13 year old girl to lure someone to the house where they were arrested. Do you think the suspect could claim "But the girl was actually over 18 so no crime committed! You cannot arrest me for my thoughts!" Have you ever heard of the word INTENT in criminal law haha... don't obfuscate the talking point..
