Watched Meet the Press this morning, Newt is clearly running for president, though he wouldn't come out and confirm or deny it. He spent a lot of time going over what he thought were his accomplishments. What do you think? Would you vote for Newt?
Newt was a great leader of the congressional republicans when they were in the minority. He came up with the Contract With America, which was a brilliant move. Too bad they lost sight of it. Unfortunately, as Speaker, he seemed to let his ego get the best of him. Clinton also seemed to have his number. Ultimately, Newt went down in flames. Not a good resume for someone who would be president.
